Layest files keep the documents behind your business data close to the records, agents, reports, and conversations that use them.

What you can do

  • upload files and organize them in folders
  • preview supported documents
  • attach files to records
  • select files or folders for agent runs
  • add files to Finlay conversations
  • keep generated reports and other outputs in the workspace
  • share appropriate material through supported workspace features

Organize for everyday work

Use clear folder names that reflect the business process, company, project, and period. For example:
Portfolio / Vienna / Board Documents / 2026 Q3
A predictable structure helps colleagues find the right source material and reduces the chance that an agent run uses the wrong files.

Use files with agents

1

Choose the source

Select the files or folder that contain the information the agent needs.
2

Start the workflow

Run the agent directly or ask Finlay to start a compatible import or report.
3

Review the evidence

Compare prepared data or reports with the original documents.
4

Approve deliberately

Publish or approve output only after the important facts and destination are correct.
Available preview formats, upload limits, and storage allowances can depend on your workspace plan and configuration.
Workspace permissions also apply to files. Place sensitive documents only where the intended users and workflows should access them.
